The weekend of 6-7 October 2012, saw a host of talented boys and girls from all around GP converge on the 3 Square basketball courts in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
The Gauteng Basketball Association (“GBA”) requested that school/club/team coaches send their best 5 boys and girls to be part of the Gauteng under 16 Provincial trials taking place over two sessions. The first session ran smoothly with parents on-hand to witness the proceedings and support their children. The next session will again take place at the 3 Square Basketball Courts on Josias Madzunya Street, Alexandra, Johannesburg. All sessions to run 9am - 12pm (unless otherwise specified). The objective of the trials is to select players ,boys and girls, who are aged 15 years and under to represent Gauteng as part of the Gauteng under 16 Provincial basketball squad. Players are required to attend both trial sessions. Please note that only players who are duly registered with the GBA and are Gauteng residents and citizens of Republic of South Africa, will be eligible to represent Republic of South Africa in official international basketball competitions. Players will be afforded an opportunity to register at courtside on the 13-14 October 2012, between 8Am and 9AM. Players will be required to pay a registration levy of R100, of which R25-00 will go towards the candidates registration with Basketball South Africa (BSA).
